Multiple Candidates Trail Behind NOTA in One-Sided Electoral Contest, BJP’s Devyani Rana Maintains Unassailable Lead

Nagrota, Nov 14, KNT: In an unusual electoral trend, NOTA (None of the Above) has secured more votes than several candidates in the Nagrota Assembly by-election even as BJP nominee Devyani Rana continues to dominate the contest with a massive lead.
As counting reached the ninth round, NOTA registered 304 votes, outpolling several contestants including Qari Zaheer Abbas Bhatti, Gulzar Hussain, Shah Mohd, Joginder Singh and Naresh Kumar Chib. The tally places NOTA ahead of a significant number of recognised and independent candidates, highlighting voter dissatisfaction with the available choices.
