Santro Car Damaged as Fire Engulfs ATM in Srinagar’s Rainawari

 

Srinagar, Nov 25, KNT: A J&K Bank ATM was gutted in a fire incident  in Rainawari area of Srinagar during the early morning hours on Tuesday. The fire is believed to have erupted at around 5:30 AM.

Locals in the vicinity noticed flames and promptly alerted the Fire and Emergency Services. Firefighters, assisted by inhabitants of the area, reached the spot and prevented the fire from spreading to adjoining structures.

Despite the swift response, the ATM suffered total damage. A Santro car bearing registration number JK01P-2888, which was parked nearby, sustained partial damage due to the heat and flames. Police said the cause of the fire is being investigated.[KNT]
