Toddler Dies After Accidental Drowning in Dal Lake

 

Srinagar, Feb 19, KNT: An 18-month-old child who was admitted in critical condition following a drowning incident in Dal waters succumbed at Children’s Hospital Bemina, officials said.

The deceased has been identified as Saiful Ahmad, son of Aijaz Ahmad Kissu, a native of Brein Nishat area of Srinagar.

Sources told KNT that the minor had accidentally fallen into water near Abi Karpora. Family members immediately retrieved him from the water and rushed him to JLNM Hospital, Rainawari. Considering the critical nature of his condition, doctors referred the child to Children’s Hospital Bemina for advanced treatment.
Despite sustained medical efforts by doctors at the tertiary care facility, the toddler could not be revived and succumbed, officials confirmed.
