Tata-Mobile falls into gorge, trio from Kishtwar injured

Three persons were injured after the vehicle they were traveling in skidded off the road and fell into a deep gorge on Saturday morning, officials said.

They told news agency Kashmir News Trust that the accident took place on Sinthan-Daksum road near Khudan Morh in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district. The ill-fated Tata-Mobile (JK17A-1449) was on its way to Anantnag from Kishtwar district.

The injured who were all the locals from Kishtwar and shifted to Kokarnag Hospital have been identified as Showkat Ahmed (30), Narendra Kumar (29) and 28-year-old Akshay Aryan.

Police have taken cognizance of the incident and registered a case under relevant sections of law. [KNT]
