Pathankot, Feb 26, KNT: Border Security Force (BSF) personnel Wednesday said that it thwarted an infiltration attempt along the International Border (IB) in Pathankot sector, neutralizing an intruder who ignored repeated warnings.
According to a statement from PRO BSF Jammu, the incident took place in the pre-dawn hours at Border Outpost (BOP) Tashpatan, where BSF troops detected suspicious movement from across the border.
“An individual was spotted crossing the IB. Despite being challenged by alert troops, he continued moving forward, forcing BSF personnel to take decisive action,” the statement said.

The identity and motive of the intruder are currently being investigated. Meanwhile, BSF has confirmed that a strong protest will be lodged with Pakistan Rangers over the incident.[KNT]
