Gunfight Erupts Between Militants and Security Forces in Tral’s Nader Area

A gunfight broke out on Thursday between militants and joint security forces in the Nader area of Tral in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

According to official sources, the encounter began after a cordon and search operation was launched in the area based on specific intelligence inputs about the presence of armed militants.

As the security forces closed in on a suspected location, they came under fire, triggering a retaliatory exchange. The identity and number of militants involved remain unconfirmed as the operation is still ongoing.

A police official said that the area has been sealed off, and reinforcements have been rushed to the site to prevent any escape.
