Man charred to death after vehicle catches fire in South Kashmir

A young man was charred to death after he failed to come out from the vehicle that caught fire in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district.

The victim identified as Shabir Ahmad Rather son of Muhammad Ahsan Rather, a resident of Panzgam hamlet of Kokarnag was driving a vehicle when it suddenly caught fire. The victim as the eyewitnesses was trapped inside the vehicle and died of critical burn injuries.

An official said that it is yet to find out how the vehicle caught fire. Police have taken cognizance of the incident and taken up an investigation.
