Doda, Sep 28, KNT: A road accident occurred in the Garsoo area of Doda district in the Jammu region resulting in the loss of two lives and leaving one person critically injured.
Eyewitnesses said that an Alto car bearing registration number JK17A- 4753 plunged into the Chenab River, leading to the tragic outcome.
They said that rescue teams swiftly responded to the incident and retrieved two bodies from the river. The deceased individuals have not been identified yet.
A woman, critically injured in the accident, was rushed to GMC Doda for immediate medical attention. Her condition remains stable, hospital authorities confirmed.
The Police have launched an investigation into the cause of the accident.
“The exact circumstances surrounding the incident are being probed,” said a senior police officer. “We urge drivers to exercise caution and follow traffic guidelines to prevent such tragedies.” [KNT]
