Kulgam Administration Cracks Down on Public Nuisance with Strict Removal Orders

Kulgam, June 27, KNT: Amid growing public concern and visible degradation of civic standards, the District Administration Kulgam has launched a decisive crackdown on various forms of public nuisance, issuing a comprehensive directive for their immediate removal across the district.
The action follows a surge in complaints from residents over issues severely impacting daily life and public hygiene. According to the official order, the administration has identified several persistent nuisances contributing to civic disorder. These include unauthorized dumping of construction material on roads, open defecation, indiscriminate waste disposal in public spaces, obstruction of footpaths, illegal encroachments, accumulation of cow dung in streets, and the use of loudspeakers without prior permission.
In response, the authorities have ordered swift and uncompromising removal of garbage heaps, construction debris, cow dung deposits, and all forms of obstruction from public roads and walkways. Municipal staff and enforcement teams have been directed to act immediately to ensure visible results.
The administration has also warned of strict legal action against individuals, institutions, or businesses found responsible for such civic violations. Penalties will include fines and other punitive measures under existing municipal and environmental laws.
Citizens have been urged to extend full cooperation in maintaining public cleanliness and ensuring unrestricted access to shared spaces. “The drive is aimed at restoring order and promoting a cleaner, healthier, and more dignified environment for all,” an official spokesperson said.
This initiative is part of the administration’s broader efforts to improve urban management and public accountability, signaling zero tolerance for negligence and misuse of shared civic infrastructure.
