JD(U) Leader Suhail Makhdoomi Meets SMC Commissioner, Discusses Civic Issues

Municipal Commissioner Assures Early Redressal of Public Grievances

 

Srinagar, Oct 27, KNT: Chief State Organizer of Janata Dal (United), Suhail Makhdoomi, on Monday called on Fuz Lul Haseeb, Commissioner of the Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC), and discussed a range of public grievances and civic issues affecting locals in various parts of the city.

During the meeting, Makhdoomi, as per the statement, highlighted several civic concerns, including sanitation, drainage, solid waste management, and maintenance of inner-city roads and streetlights. He emphasized the need for prompt attention to civic infrastructure in densely populated areas where locals have repeatedly voiced their concerns.

The Municipal Commissioner gave a patient hearing to the issues raised and assured that the administration is committed to resolving all pending grievances at the earliest. “Every effort will be made to address the highlighted issues in the larger public interest,” Haseeb assured during the meeting.

Makhdoomi later said that public welfare and accountability in civic governance must remain top priorities. “I appreciate the Commissioner’s assurance and hope that all civic concerns are addressed on the ground without delay,” he added. [KNT]
