X Faces Major Outage, Desktop Users Unable to Load Timelines

 

Srinagar, Nov 18, KNT: X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, experienced a significant disruption on Tuesday evening as desktop users across several regions reported that timelines were not loading and connections to the service were failing. The outage affected a large number of users who said the website either stalled on refresh or failed to display any new posts.

Data available on Downdetector showed a sharp rise in problem reports during the evening, indicating a widespread breakdown in the platform’s functionality. According to the analytics, 44 percent of complaints were related to the feed, 30 percent to the website interface, and 27 percent to server connectivity. Users said the disruption began suddenly, with many unable to open profiles or access timelines.

The issue appeared to impact the desktop version more severely, while the mobile application showed relatively fewer complaints. Reports from different regions suggested that the outage was not confined to a specific country.

By late evening, users continued to face difficulty accessing the service, and there was no statement from the company regarding the cause of the disruption or expected restoration time. The platform remains affected as the outage persists. [KNT]
