Grid Station Quarter Gutted, Fire Contained in Uri’s Salamabad Area

Baramulla, April 3, KNT: Grid station quarter was gutted in a fire incident that broke out in the Salamabad area of Uri in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Friday, triggering panic among employees.

The fire erupted at a grid station, causing damage to the quarters before being brought under control.

Soon after the incident, fire tenders rushed to the spot, while police teams and locals joined efforts to contain the blaze.

The fire was later contained, preventing further spread, officials said. The cause of the fire has not been ascertained so far.
