Soldier Injured in Firing Along LoC in Rajouri

Srinagar, Mar 12, KNT: An Army personnel sustained injuries in a firing incident along the Line of Control (LoC) in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday, officials said.

The soldier, who was stationed at a forward post in the Kalsiyan area of Nowshera sector, was hit by a bullet fired from across the border, they added. He was immediately provided first aid before being shifted to the military hospital in Udhampur for specialized treatment.

Officials said the cause of the firing is under investigation. They also confirmed that an explosion was reported along the zero line in the area around 6 am, followed by three rounds of gunfire. However, no casualties were reported in the blast, and the exact cause remains unknown.
