Health Service Kashmir: 71 Posts Lying Vacant In CMO Office Srinagar, 24 at Rainawari Hospital

At least 24 posts of doctors and paramedical staffers are lying vacant at Rainawari Hospital in Kashmir capital Srinagar.

These include 2 gazetted and 22 non-gazetted posts.

The data available with the news agency Kashmir News Trust reveals that the posts of Senior Consultant Gynae and a Dental Surgeon are lying vacant for a long time in the hospital while the Directorate of Health Services Kashmir has been doing nothing fill up these posts.

Vacancy position of non-gazetted cadre in the hospital includes 2 senior lab technicians, a Head Dental Technician, a Head X-ray Technician, a Sup. X-ray Technician, 2 Junio X-ray Technicians, a

Head Opth. Tech (COB), a Sup. Opth Tech (COB), a Junior Opth Tech, a Head Theatre Tech, a Sup. Theatre Tech, a Junior Theatre Tech, 3 Nursing supervisors, 2 Senior Nurses and 4 Anesthesia Assistants.

Similarly, the number of posts including doctors and paramedical staffers which are lying vacant in the office of the Chief Medical Officer’s office in Srinagar stands at 71.

These vacant posts include 30 Medical Officers, 11 FMPHW, 2 Dental Technicians, 5 X-Ray Technicians, a Senior Health Inspector, 7 Health Inspectors, 2 CHOs, one Optho Tech and 11 Pharmacists.

The data as per KNT also reveals that this year Directorate of Health Services Kashmir didn’t upgrade any hospital or Primary Health Centres. Further, the work at NTPHCs Chatterhama, Zakura, Lal Bazar and Palpora is still incomplete. [KNT]
