Anantnag Police Arrests Two Lady Narco Cultivators In Two NDPS Cases

Anantnag, 8 May ,Continuing its intensified drive against illegal cultivation of narcotic crops, Anantnag Police has formally arrested two women accused in separate NDPS cases related to illicit opium poppy cultivation.

In the first case, Dilshada W/O Sheikh Musa Qazim R/O Wullarhama, involved in FIR No. 27/2026 U/S 8/18 NDPS Act of Police Station Pahalgam, was formally arrested. The case was registered after illegal poppy cultivation was detected on her land and destroyed as per legal procedure.

In the second case, Naseema, widow of Mushtaq Ahmad Mir R/O Sofi Pora, involved in FIR No. 31/2026 U/S 8/18 NDPS Act of Police Station Pahalgam, was formally arrested following investigation into illegal poppy cultivation on land under her possession.

Both arrests were made after completion of requisite legal formalities and verification of their involvement in cultivation of contraband crops in violation of the NDPS Act.
