Srinagar, May 30: In a major crackdown on narcotics networks under the Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan, Srinagar Police has attached immovable properties worth approximately ₹2 crore belonging to two alleged drug peddlers, intensifying efforts to dismantle the financial infrastructure of drug trafficking in the Valley.
In the first case, police attached assets worth around ₹1.5 crore belonging to accused drug peddler Mudasir Ahmad Pir, also known as Sahil alias Doge, a resident of Firdous Colony, Bemina. The action was taken by Police Station Bemina under Section 68F(1) of the NDPS Act after confirmation from the Competent Authority under SAFEMA, Ministry of Finance, Government of India. The attached property includes a double-storey residential house and approximately four marlas of land at Firdous Colony, Bemina. Investigations revealed that the property was allegedly acquired through proceeds from illicit drug trafficking.
In another operation, Srinagar Police attached a residential house and land worth approximately ₹50 lakh belonging to alleged drug peddler Shafiq Ahmad Khawaja of Dildar Karnah in Kupwara district. The attachment was carried out under Section 68-F of the NDPS Act in connection with FIR No. 10/2024 registered at Police Station M.R. Gunj under Sections 8/21-29 of the NDPS Act.
Police said all legal procedures were duly followed before the attachment of the properties, and investigations established that the assets were acquired through proceeds generated from narcotics-related activities.

Officials stated that the action demonstrates the firm commitment of Srinagar Police to target the economic foundations of drug trafficking networks and prevent offenders from benefiting from illegally acquired assets.
Srinagar Police reiterated its resolve to eradicate the drug menace from society and urged citizens to cooperate by sharing information about drug peddling and narcotics-related activities in their localities.
