Three Alleged OGWs Apprehended in Anantnag After Facial Recognition Alert

Anantnag, July 8, KNT: Anantnag Police claimed to have apprehended three persons alleged to be Over Ground Workers (OGWs) after they were flagged by the Facial Recognition System (FRS) deployed along the Yatra route in south Kashmir.

According to the police, the Facial Recognition System generated alerts when the three individuals were passing through the Sarbal area during the ongoing pilgrimage.

Acting on the alerts, police personnel intercepted the individuals and carried out identity verification. Police said the three were subsequently identified as alleged Over Ground Workers (OGWs).
