Former Chief Minister and PDP Chairperson Mehbooba Mufti Wednesday said that whatever is happening is Jammu and Kashmir is happening under BJP agenda which is a sole motive to crush the people of Jammu and Kashmir and cripple its economy.
She said BJP comes up with new diktats on daily basis. “First there was anti-encroachment dirve now they have imposed property tax. Eighty-crore people of India get free ration but there is a different scenario in Jammu and Kashmir,” Mehbooba Mufti as per the news agency Kashmir News Trust told reporters.
“BJP has come as a disaster for Jammu and Kashmir. Be it an anti-encroachment drive or property tax, everything is disastrous for J&K. They want to disturb J&K’s economy. This is an agenda,” she said.
Mehbooba Mufti said that people are hardly filling their stomach and where from now they will pay property tax. “To overburden the people of Jammu and Kashmir BJP is trying to annihilate common masses,” she said.
She said now banks have started harassing people. “Without going for any settlement, these banks are issuing notices to traders and people, threatening to confiscate their properties. This all is happening under a well-planned script,” Mehbooba Mufti said. [KNT]
